I’m A Celebrity’s Snoochie Shy reveals how she ‘cheated’ on first challenge by practising ahead of time

Snoochie Shy has revealed she had a little heads up for her first challenge on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here by practising for it while in isolation.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ, 29, who was the latest star to be evicted from the show on Tuesday night, revealed that she had seen leaked photos of the first challenge – walking the plank – while she was in isolation.

The challenge saw the celebs go head to head against each other to walk along a scaffolding ‘plank’ to the far end, hanging over a cliff before stamping on a buzzer in the fastest time after a green light went on.

Snoochie told Lorraine Kelly: ‘Oh my god, the heights one! That was the only one that I never wanted to do.

‘I saw that a picture had been leaked of a plank, so when I was in the isolation house, I was trying to walk on a little tightrope-type thing to try to get myself practice for it. But you can’t prepare for the plank.

‘I think that was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done because I don’t even go to amusement parks or theme parks, I hate heights. [I won’t even] step on a three-step ladder.

‘That was definitely a mad one and I didn’t want to drop, that was the main thing, but I did it!’

Snoochie had been up against Naughty Boy, 40, and managed to beat him to the buzzer meaning he was the one that dropped.

The consequence was also that the losing celeb would end up in the Clink rather than the main castle, leading to a rougher start in camp.

While she may not have loved the heights challenge, Snoochie admitted she loved the disgusting eating trial she was part of.

She revealed: ‘I really enjoyed the eating trial. I know this is crazy, but I literally loved it. That’s what I wanted to do the most.

‘I feel like I’ve grown up watching the show, and the eating trial is one of the ones you see quite a lot. I was like, “I need to do that”, but I definitely ate some wild stuff.

‘I think I had a cow’s bum, but it just tastes like normal meat, just a little bit cold. I’d say the fermented duck egg, I’m never going to revisit that or the vomit fruit, it does definitely make you feel a bit queasy after. I couldn’t eat after. I was just in the privy.’

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
