Firefly Lane is the new Netflix drama that’s sure to win the hearts of viewers thanks to its sweet storyline.
Starring Grey’s Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl and Roseanne star Sarah Chalke, the series follows best friends Tully and Kate through key periods in their lives.
Flashing back between their adolescence, early twenties and their forties, viewers watch along as the show explores how our relationships affect our lives over the years.

Is Firefly Lane based on a book?
Yep, the show is inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.
Fans of the book will be delighted to know that Hannah is a co-executive producer on the series so she’ll have made sure things don’t stray too far away from the heart of the novel.
The book synopsis reads: ‘A coming of age novel about a generation of women who were both blessed and cursed by their choices. It is 1974 and the summer of love is finally drawing to a close. The flower children are starting to realise that you cannot survive on peace and love alone.
‘Kate Mularkey has accepted her place at the bottom of the secondary school social food chain.
