Former Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington has lashed out at his former co-star Katherine Heigl on social media.
The pair famously clashed in 2007 after the actress – who played Izzie Stevens – called out Isaiah – who starred as Preston Burke – for allegedly using a homophobic slur on set.
Monday saw Isaiah, 57, reignite the feud as he tweeted: ‘This woman once proclaimed that I should “never” be allowed to speak publicly again.
‘The world agreed with her proclamation back then and protested for my job and my head in 65 languages. I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, because I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech.’
He added in the comment section: ‘I’ve learned that all money ain’t good money and no amount of money can replace your dignity and integrity. Some call it living by your principles.’
Knocked Up star Katherine has yet to publicly respond to the tweet.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the actor decided to slam his former co-star again after all these years but the duo’s drama played out very publicly when it first began in 2007.
The pair had a war of word after the actress claimed Isaiah made homophobic slurs direct towards fellow Grey’s Anatomy star, T.R. Knight.

Isaiah denied the claim at the time and stated: ‘No, I did not call T.R. a f****t. Never happened, never happened.
‘There is no way I could do anything so vile, and so horrible, not only to a castmate but to a fellow human being.’
Months after the drama, ABC made the decision that the actor would not return to Grey’s Anatomy following the show’s season three finale.
Both Katherine and T. R. Knight also went on to leave the show a few seasons after the incident.
