Richard Bacon is back on Good Morning Britain much to the delight of fans.
The 45-year-old broadcaster is the latest guest host to step in following Piers Morgan’s departure from the ITV programme earlier this year and joined Charlotte Hawkins and a range of guests.
‘It’s great to be here,’ Richard announced as he made his grand return.
‘For me, I haven’t done this for a couple of years because I live in America now and have a slightly silly job basically making game shows and producing game shows.’
He continued: ‘My first love is news and current affairs and to actually come back and talk about things that matter… to be here on a day like this is a fascinating thing.’
Viewers were delighted to have Richard back on their screens and flooded him with praise.

‘Yay I love Richard Bacon. Can we have him full time please?’ asked one.
‘Richard Bacon is a welcome breakfast treat,’ another added. ‘The best decision ITV have made in years.’
Guest presenters over the past few months have included Alastair Campbell, Adil Ray and Richard Madeley.
Richard will present on the show for four days until Monday August 23, hosting alongside Charlotte, Kate Garraway on Thursday and Friday and Ranvir Singh on the Monday.
This won’t be the first time that Richard has guest hosted GMB, as he had a short stint presenting on the news show in 2019.
Neil Thompson, the editor of GMB, praised the combination of presenters the programme has had in recent months.
‘Our mix of guest hosts on Good Morning Britain alongside our brilliant existing family of presenters has been a great success over recent months, and brings a diverse range of perspectives on the day’s news agenda. We’re delighted that Richard can return to join us this summer,’ he said.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
