The Late Late Show’s James Corden celebrated Donald Trump’s final day in the White House with a revamped version of the Les Misérables song One Day More.
The Gavin And Stacey actor was joined by a whole host of musical theatre stars for the rendition, which poked fun at the president’s chaotic four years in office.
The hilarious revised lyrics referenced the leader being permanently banned from Twitter, as well as the press conference mixup at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping rather than the Four Seasons hotel.
‘No more days of angry tweets, cause it’s time he’s gone for good,’ Corden belted out as he emptied out his office and tore up magazine covers with Trump’s face printed on.
Corden was joined by the likes of Pattie LuPone and Matt Lucas, who appeared as MAGA supporters and boldly sang about gun rights and not wearing face masks.
Elsewhere, musical theatre actors Chris Weller, Racehel Yonda, Amy Lee-Suits and Rob Engalla, also featured as concerned news anchors who voiced their worry that Trump might not leave.
The musical concluded with Corden and his ensemble singing: ‘Tomorrow we’ll discover what Joe Biden has in store/ No more Trump/ One more day/ One day more.’
Fans were living for the number and flooded Corden with compliments, with one writing: ‘Brilliant!! This gave me chills! Watching on repeat. Thanks for this.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Absolutely BRILLIANT concept, script, and performance by all!!’
Elsewhere in last night’s episode, Corden expressed his excitement for the start of a new chapter.
‘Well guys, tomorrow Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States,’ he said.
‘Incredible. I’m going to say it, you had a good run malarkey, but it ends now.’
