Jamie Lynn Spears has spoken about the struggles she faced during her early years of fame in an emotional new interview, revealing that she was sent to an isolated cabin to avoid the press during her teenage pregnancy.

The 30-year-old, who is the younger sister of Britney Spears, opened up about the turbulent time she endured – and also said she lover her sister ‘100%’ while denying playing a role in her conservatorship.

Jamie Lynn gave birth to her first child, daughter Maddie, with then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge in 2008.

Speaking to ABC News, Jamie Lynn said she was moved to a remote cabin and shut off from the outside world before the birth.

‘It felt like you’re almost suffocating. It was just like, I felt like, what was I going to do?’ she said.

‘I was a kid and maybe this is in my best interests and maybe this is what I’m supposed to do because of course I don’t want to be hounded by the paparazzi or tabloids or allow them to control my narrative. But it felt like I was really being alienated.

The former child star, 30, had appeared on the show in support of the release of her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, which Britney has previously appeared to make a dig at.

The actress, known for starring Zoe 101, left Hollywood following the birth of her child.

Discussing the mental health issues she suffered at the time, she added: ‘It really was to the point where my panic attacks were all-consuming where I’m counting and touching door knobs seven times.

‘It was consuming my life to the point where it was physically taking over me. I finally spoke to a therapist. At the time I took medicine and got back to a place where I felt stable,’ she said.

It’s the second part of the interview to be revealed, with the first seeing her open up on her rift with sister Britney in her first interview on Good Morning America.

The interview also discussed the strained relationship with her sibling, who was freed from her conservatorship last year.

Britney and Jamie Lynn’s relationship appeared to break down around the time the conservatorship rule was removed, with Britney unfollowing her sister on Instagram earlier this month.

The Toxic star 40, previously hit out at her sister for not speaking out in support of her dating her legal battle.
