Janet Street-Porter admitted to ‘losing her temper’ on this year’s Celebrity Masterchef’s Christmas Special.
Janet, who has appeared on the cooking programme before, announced the exciting news on Tuesday’s Loose Women.
Leaving the announcement until the end of the show, the panellist explained that her cooking ‘presentation had improved’ compared to when she took part in 2013.
‘My big announcement is, I am taking part in Masterchef Christmas Special,’ she began.
‘This is the celebrity Christmas special, there are two episodes. Each one is a self-contained competition with Biggins and Vicky Pattison and Dev, smiley Dev, he was so nice.’
‘It’s very, very competitive, I do lose my temper, but I’ve got it under control and I think you’ll see my presentation has improved because when I took part in the show in 2013, I didn’t win, horror I still relive that nearly every week.’
‘I go over what my duck leg shepherd’s pie in my head and I think, “Why did I mess up?”,’ she added.
‘It looked like such a mess on the plate and Ade Edmondson won, you see I don’t hold a grudge, but I do.
‘Sufficed to say this time around I practiced.’
Joining Janet in this year’s star-studded line up is – Vicky Pattison, Christopher Biggins, and Dev Griffin.
The other celebrities include Craig Revel Horwood, TV presenter Amar Latif, actress Crissy Rock and TV personality Spencer Matthews.
During the festive series, all eight celebs will once again try to impress John Torode and Gregg Wallace a with a range of Yuletide-themed culinary tasks.
Those tasks are set to include the Invention Test and a Pairs Test that sees them cook some seasonal favourites.
They will also be challenged to cook a two-course meal – and on includes a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
We are feeling hungry already!
