Janette Manrara rules out Strictly return as It Takes Two is her ‘new home’

Janette Manrara has all but ruled out returning to Strictly Come Dancing, describing her role on It Takes Two as her ‘new home’.

The pro dancer, who’s married to her fellow star Aljaz Skorjanec, took over from Zoe Ball on the Strictly spin-off show.

It meant she stepped back from dancing duties and doesn’t see herself going back.

Asked by Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes whether she’d make a Strictly comeback, Janette said: ‘No I don’t think so now, I think It Takes Two is my new home and I’m very happy there.’

‘I’d love to keep presenting,’ she added.

However, she reassured everyone that she’ll always ‘keep dancing’, and that she won’t ever give it up completely.

Janette added that her co-star Rylan Clark-Neal and the whole team had been ‘so welcoming’ and that former host Zoe had been messaging her throughout the series, telling her how well she was doing.

So sweet!

Janette previously called It Takes Two her dream gig – but admitted that she would be sad to no longer take part in the competition with a professional partner.

She told Alex Jones: ‘I will not be dancing. I don’t want to well up because I have been welling up a lot today, but that has been the hardest part of accepting this amazing honour to join It Takes Two.

‘It’s the realisation that I will not be on that legendary Strictly dancefloor any more. But I feel that this is most beautiful and natural progression.

‘I am still a part of the Strictly family, I am still going to be seeing my fellow pros all the time and I will keep dancing, as they say. I will find a way to keep dancing.’

Janette first joined Strictly in 2013, performing on the show for eight years with partners including HRVY, Aston Merrygold, and Jake Wood.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
