Jedward have urged music mogul Simon Cowell not to hire Piers Morgan back onto Britain’s Got Talent over remarks the ex-Good Morning Britain presenter previously made about Little Mix.
Singing twins duo Jedward, who found fame on The X Factor in 2009, recently went on a mega-tirade on social media slamming the competition that made them household names, taking a savage swipe at the show’s boss Simon in the process.
In tweets shared earlier this week, the siblings said that their ‘biggest regret in life was not telling the judges on X Factor to f*** off’, while also saying that in their opinion, Simon ‘thinks he’s the Mafia leader of the music industry when in reality he’s nothing but a bad facelift.’
Amid broadcaster Piers’ fallout from GMB following his heavily criticised on-air critique of Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jedward have implored Simon not to consider bringing him back to BGT, on which he was a judge from 2007 to 2010.
The pair tweeted: ‘Simon and BGT don’t be back stabbers hiring Piers Morgan You would have no reputation without Little Mix and previous acts!
‘Still friends with a person who degraded young women in a hate campaign against them? Years may go by but fans don’t forget!’
Piers has found himself at odds with Little Mix in the past, having once said in 2018 that the band would never be featured on ITV’s Life Stories as ‘they’re not big enough’.
The following year, Little Mix roasted the journalist on their tour, using a clip of him on GMB in which he demanded an apology from the group over a body-shaming row.

Several months previously, the band hit back against Piers’ claim that they were sexualising themselves to promote their single Strip, having posed for the picture nude with insults written across their bodies.
‘It’s not about sexualising yourself; it’s about having a voice and speaking out and being brave enough to stand up to people,’ Jade Thirlwall told The Guardian at the time.
On Monday, he took part in his first televised interview since leaving the ITV morning show, speaking to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
Piers used the interview to take further swipes at Meghan and GMB weatherman Alex Beresford, with whom he argued with on the show ahead of his departure, resulting in him storming off set.
