Jennifer Aniston has insisted she would fess up to the world if she ever had a sexual relationship with Friends co-star David Schwimmer.
The pair – who played onscreen lovers Rachel Green and Ross Geller – whipped Friends fans up into a frenzy when they confessed having a huge crush on each other back in the day, during that iconic reunion special.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show Wednesday, the 52-year-old actress once again stressed that she and David, 54, never acted on their crushes.
When asked by host Howard Stern why she didn’t ‘bang’ her co-star, Jennifer replied: ‘He was lovely, David was great. We were in relationships and it was always never the right time and it wouldn’t have worked.
‘The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did.’
The star – who was also joined by co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow – added: ‘But no, we never, on my life [got together]. And Courteney [Cox] and Lisa would know if it did because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me.’
‘Howard’s not going to believe me,’ Jennifer joked to her friends before she added: ‘No, I would proudly say I banged Schwimmer if that happened. But no.’
Intelligence actor David opened up about his attraction to the Rachel Green star at the one-off HBO Max special.
‘The first season I had a major crush on Jen and at some point we were both crushing on each other,’ he told host James Corden.

‘But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We always respected that.’
Jennifer jumped in to agree: ‘I remember saying to David, “it’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually is going to be on national television.”
‘Sure enough first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.
‘But we just channelled all our love and adoration for each other into Ross and Rachel.’

The Friends cast eventually made a pact that ‘hooking up’ with each other was off the table, to keep their bond and that on-screen magic safe.
Matthew Perry explained: ‘There was a rule, it was really important to the six of us, that we kept a friendship. Hooking up could have caused a strangeness that might mess with things. And we are really good friends to this day.’
David added: ‘We didn’t want to jeopardize any of the great relationships and friendships we had established. It was kind of an unspoken rule.’
