Joe Wicks gave insight into life before becoming a fitness guru, sharing a clip of his appearance on Channel 4’s The Bank Drop back in 2012.

Joe has rocketed to fame in recent years, which blossomed further during the first months of the Covid lockdown in 2020.

He helped the nation stay active at the height of the pandemic through a series of daily workouts and was made an MBE later that year.

However, years before Joe became known as The Body Coach, he appeared on TV as a game show contestant on The Bank Job.

The Channel 4 offering – hosted by George Lamb – only lasted a few months on the broadcaster, but Joe was one of the contestants who got the chance to win big.

He shared a YouTube clip of a moment from his appearance, where a fresh-faced Joe seemed unsure how to answer a question.

After being asked: ‘Which urban music trio consists of Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa?’ he frantically pressed on his buzzer.

‘It’s not buzzing, it’s not buzzing, N Dubz!’ he panicked.

Oh dear, Joe (Picture: Channel 4)

George responded telling him he didn’t need to buzz in, saying: ‘It’s fine, it’s all good, you were in time.’

The Bank Job invited four contestants to go on and accumulate prize money from a bank vault full of safety deposit boxes if they answered questions correctly.

The winner of the third round advanced to a grand final at the end of the week, with the jackpot going to the eventual winner.

Unfortunately, Joe didn’t go home with any of the cash as he went out first after being the only player left in the vault when the time ran out.

It comes as Joe shared another unearthed clip on his social media, ahead of a previous appearance on Loose Women.

In the resurfaced video that was shared on TikTok, host Ruth Langsford informed viewers Joe would appear as a guest in the next episode.

However, as the cameras panned away from the panel, Carol turned to co-star Linda Robson and made a remark about Joe.

She told her: ‘I really don’t like him. I don’t like him. Don’t like him.’

Joe cheekily reposted the TV moment with a couple of snaps of himself with awkward expressions, and luckily seemed to see the funny side.
