Joining Johannes and Vernon for the special edition of the ITV morning programme will be returning panellists, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, and radio presenter, Roman Kemp.
The celebrities will host the special edition, dubbed Loose Men, in support of Loose Women’s Stand By Your Men campaign.
Speaking about the upcoming panel, which is part of the campaign urging men to open up and seek help when needed, Vernon said: ‘I’m really excited to be back for another Loose Men special.
‘Men’s mental health is so important to me. I learnt things from the panel members last time that I’d never known before.
‘The reaction we all had last time was also fantastic and highlighted how there’s a real need for more discussion around these topics which we look forward to bringing to viewers.’
Strictly star Johannes added: ‘I think Loose Men is a brilliant concept. I’m thrilled we have a platform to sit as men and talk about issues affecting our well-being and livelihoods.
‘I haven’t worked with these gentlemen before, but I’m aware of their brilliant work and I’m delighted to finally meet them.’
He added that he wants to continue ‘to bring awareness to mental health as it still plagues our society.’
Loose Women editor, Sally Shelford, stressed the importance of ‘encouraging men to talk openly and honestly about their mental health,’ saying the show is ‘proud’ to boast a panel of ‘incredible Loose Men’ who ‘never shy away from the big issues.’
From the special, she said to expect ‘honest discussions, fiery debates and, of course, lots of laughs.’
The first Loose Men panel, in 2020, was hosted by Marvin Humes for International Men’s Day in November, joined by Love Island narrator Iain Stirling, former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating and Roman.
Last year, Loose Women once again handed the panel over to an all-male line-up for the second time in its then 22-year history, as Richard Madeley, dancer Jordan Banjo, TV judge Robert Rinder and singer and actor Martin Kemp took over.
The Loose Men panel takes place on Thursday, May 12 at 12.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.Credit: Original article published here.
