The first three guests set to appear on Kate Garraway’s Life Stories have been announced, as she takes over from Piers Morgan on the show.

The Good Morning Britain host, 54, will take over as she deep-dives in the lives of stars who have built incredible careers.

Singer Charlotte Church, Great British Bake Off star and chef Nadiya Hussain, and football legend John Barnes will be among the first guests to speak to Kate, who was recently honoured with an MBE.

As she steps into the hot seat, Kate said: ‘I’ve always loved having the chance to talk to people, both on air and off.

‘Everyone has a story to tell and the wonderful thing about this show is that you have the airtime to delve into the areas of guests lives that the viewers might not know about already.

‘It’s also a chance to understand more about the bits we do already know about, both good and bad, and hear it in their own words.’

Each episode will be 60 minutes, airing on ITV.

Life Stories was previously hosted by former GMB host Piers since 2010.

He recorded 103 episodes with the likes of Dame Barbara Windsor, Sir Rod Stewart, and Dame Joan Collins, with Kate appearing as his guest in his final episode.

‘He delved all over the place,’ Kate confessed of the interview. ‘He delved into my past, exes, career stuff. He has a massive, massive research team.’

‘You do these interviews and they’re very long so I generally don’t know what will be shown,’ she said. ‘I didn’t realise quite how many hours had gone past.’

During their chat, Kate spoke about her career, her personal life, and her husband Derek Draper’s battle with Covid-19.

Kate Garraway’s Life Stories will air on ITV this February.
