Katie Price is definitely going to be TV gold of the upcoming series of Celebrity MasterChef 2021 judging by her worrying tea making revelation.

The mum-of-five, who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Carl Woods, is one of the 20 celebrity contestants on the line-up set to be judged by John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the famous kitchen.

Addressing her spot in the competition, Katie shared an insight into her cooking skills – and we’re a little concerned.

Posting her official photo ahead of the show on Instagram, she wrote: ‘It has been said that I could burn a cup of tea….this should be interesting ??? @bbcone @masterchefuk.’

Let’s hope John and Gregg don’t ask for a cuppa…

Fans cannot wait to see Katie in action on the show and flooded her feed with their excitement.

‘Can’t wait to see you giving it a go,’ enthused one. ‘I bet you’ll surprise yourself. Love how fearless you are.’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Good luck Katie. Can’t wait to see it.’

Katie is set to be joined by a whole host of famous faces on this year’s Celebrity MasterChef, including Strictly Come Dancing professional Johannes Radebe and former EastEnders star Rita Simons.

Broadcast over six weeks, the contestants will also tackle a new series of cookery challenges, with renowned chefs including Tom Kerridge, Nisha Katona, Nieves Barragan Mohacho appearing as special guest judges.

Last year’s edition was won by Irish-Iraqi broadcaster and YouTube star Riyadh Khalaf, with Tom Rhodes winning the civilian version last week.

Will Katie have what it takes to go all the way? We bloody well hope so.

Celebrity MasterChef is set to arrive later this year to BBC One.
