Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson reunited weeks before third baby bombshell: ‘I have a lot of optimism for our future’

Khloe Kardashian raved about her relationship with Tristan Thompson just weeks before news of his third child emerged.

The pair, who share daughter True, started dating in 2016 but hit a few rough patches in their romance – after the NBA player was accused of cheating on the reality star multiple times.

In the most recent episode of the Kardashians, which airs on Hulu, the 37-year-old revealed they had reunited as the family came together to celebrate Kourtney Kardashian’s engagement to Travis Barker, in scenes filmed in October.

‘Tristan flew in for this proposal, this was something he was not going to miss,’ she told the camera.

When questioned on how they are doing, she continued: ‘We’re good, we’re actually in a really good place. We just got back together.

‘He’s been going to therapy a lot, there has just been a lot of effort on his part.

‘It’s so fun when Tristan’s here, he’s a great father. True has her routines and she loves having them with both of her parents. It’s so great to see that joy on her face.

‘When we broke up, I learned how well him and I got along and what good friends we are, what good partners we are. I have a lot of hope and faith, and optimism for our future together.’

Shortly after the loving scenes were filmed, their relationship was rocked when it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.

The fitness model gave birth to son Theo in December with the NBA star, who issued a public apology to his on-off girlfriend over the news.

‘I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son,’ he wrote in a statement shared on Instagram at the time.

‘I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.

‘Khloe, you don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation my actions have caused you.

‘You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.

‘I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.’

Khloe confirmed that fans will get a glimpse into the drama on the series, adding that sister Kim was the one to break the news.

The Kardashians airs on Hulu and Disney +.
