Kim Kardashian apologises to family over Kanye West’s treatment: ‘I will never let that happen again’

Kim Kardashian issued an apology to her family over Kanye West’s attacks towards them on social media.

The reality star, 41, filed for divorce from the Stronger rapper, 44, last February, bringing their six-year marriage to an end.

Before she publicly split from the musician – who she shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with – he went on a now-deleted Twitter rant in which he referred to her mom, Kris Jenner, as ‘Kris Jong-Un’.

He later took aim at the momager’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, and called out Kim’s budding romance with Pete Davidson in a selection of Instagram posts, which have since been removed.

In the latest episode, the Skims businesswoman could be seen having a sit-down chat with some of her famous family, vowing that she would not let him treat them in a similar way again.

She informed them that he was ‘coming out with a new rap song’, in which he was thought to be ‘taking mad s**t’ about her – but did not share which song she was referring to.

‘Most men are not trashing the mother of their kids like that publicly,’ sister Khloe Kardashian responded.

‘We don’t have to sit here and throw stones back, we take it on the chin.’

‘I do recognize the impact that my relationship has had on my family and I’ve never had the opportunity to just say, “I’m sorry, guys,”, Kim continued.

‘I protected that for so long, but I said I will never let that happen to you guys again.

‘For once in my life I feel strong. I’m not going to let anyone treat you guys a way, or myself.’

She insisted she wouldn’t ever consider ‘stooping’ to such a level publicly, with Kris heaping praise on how she had handled the tough situation so far.

Speaking in a confessional, Kim added: ‘When people are saying disparaging things about any of us, it hurts all of us.

‘Because one day your kids are going to read all of it, and see all of it.

‘And that’s something that everybody has to be really aware of.’

Kim split from Kanye last year and has since moved on with Pete – with her ex vocal in his opposition to their romance on social media, before removing the posts.

In last week’s episode of the series, she explained that she wanted him to spend as much time as possible with their four children, despite whatever issues they may be going through.

‘No matter what we’re going through, I always want my kids to be around their dad as much as possible,’ she added.

‘Just to have their mornings with dad and get dropped off at school.’

The Kardashians airs on Hulu and is also available to stream on Disney +.
