Kim Kardashian has shared her contempt for the continued construction at her lavish $60million (£43million) mansion that she shared with Kanye West, describing it as a ‘money pit’.

In a new episode from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim, 40, was in the living room of her home with her mother, Kris Jenner, 65, discussing the refurbishment that’s taking place

As the camera panned to show the entire sitting area covered in plastic tarp, Kim explained that an entire wall, which had been marked with a blue outline, is going to become an LED TV screen.

‘And then this we’re getting a big rug and then a huge circle really comfy couch that’s like a U to sit that’s like really deep,’ the reality star said.

Kris told her daughter that as far as she recollected, the house had always been having works done to it, stating: ‘I’ve never known you to not be in construction in this house since the day you bought it.’

‘I know. It’s the money pit,’ Kim replied, pursing her lips.

Kris said that the works at the house remind her of when Kim and Kanye moved in to live with her when they first bought the property, as it was under construction at the time.

‘When I walked in here and saw you doing all this work, it reminded you of when you and Kanye moved in with me. And you said, “Oh, just for a couple of months while we do some work,’ Kris said, to which Kim responded: ‘It was like two years.’

‘It was so great, but I love those times,’ Kris added, looking emotional as she thought about the memories.

In March, it was reported that Kim is set to keep the Calabasas mansion she shared with Kanye, 43, and their four children amid their ongoing divorce.

According to TMZ, Kim was keen to stay at the property because she ‘really likes the house’, as well as the fact that most of her family live ‘within a block of her in the same community’.

When the couple bought the house in 2014, they paid approximately $20million (£14million).

However, following heavy renovations, it’s believed it’s now worth triple the amount. contacted Kim and Kanye’s representatives for comment at the time.

In February this year, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye after six years of marriage, with the official paperwork citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason behind their split.

New episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians are available to stream on hayu on Fridays.
