Back in February, the 40-year-old filed for divorce from Kanye, 44, after six years of marriage.
While Kim didn’t go into specific detail about the reasons behind the marriage ending, she opened up about the split during Thursday night’s Keeping Up With Kardashians reunion, insisting she ‘gave it my all’.
Host Andy Cohen asked: ‘If I asked you point blank, “Why did your marriage not work?” what would you attribute it to?’, with the star replying: ‘I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part.
‘I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids.
‘There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself.’
Kim added that she saw her marriage to Kanye as her ‘first real marriage’, and said: ‘I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away.

‘I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family.’
Kanye is believed to have moved on with supermodel Irina Shayk, with the stars pictured in France together earlier this month.
Kim has also been linked to a number of celebrities, including CNN’s Van Jones and singer Maluma, but she denied the rumours on the reunion show.
She said: ‘No, I’m not dating either one – not Van Jones, not Maluma. I’ve known him, I’ve seen him a few times, always in Miami, such a nice guy. So nice.’
The star – who is mum to North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two – is open to dating, though, and would ‘absolutely’ consider a romance with a non-celeb.
The make-up mogul said: ‘Just someone that I think would understand what this life is about, though. But I think what I was looking for and who I was, you know years ago is completely different than who I am today and I value privacy. And I just want something that’s like, really real.’
Also on the reunion, Kim admitted that she owes her ex-husband Kris Humphries an apology for how she handled their split after 72 days of marriage.
The pair’s extravagant wedding was filmed for a KUWTK special in 2011, and Kim said that she felt ‘pressured’ to go through with it.
Explaining what led to her demanding a divorce after 72 days, she said of the basketball star: ‘He had a size like, 17 shoes lined up around my whole room and I just freaked the f*** out. I literally got claustrophobic. We were living in a hotel.
‘I was so nervous to break up with someone, I handled it totally the wrong way. I fully broke up with him in the worst way, and I couldn’t, I just didn’t know how to deal, I learned so much from it.’
Part two of the KUWTK reunion airs on Sunday.
