Kirstie Allsopp apologised on social media following a difficult ride to work.
The 52-year-old Location, Location, Location host admits to being ‘the madman in a mac’ when sprinting through Paddington Station in London with wet hair as a result of Storm Ciarán.
The country is still recovering from the consequences of the disastrous weather event, with winds surpassing 100mph reported in Jersey on Thursday and over 127,000 houses still without electricity.
Flood warnings remain in effect across the UK, with heavy rain and high winds likely to persist in Scotland and portions of northern England.
On her way to work on Thursday, as travel was disrupted by the storm, Kirstie apologised after ‘mowing people down’.
She wrote on X: ‘Apologies to anyone I just mowed down going through Paddington.
‘I was the lunatic in a mac with wet hair shouting “sorry! sorry!” & desperately pleading with the ticket gate operator when my ticket wouldn’t scan.
‘I [love] my job, and I’m very lucky to have it, but the travel is crazy.’
Replying to fans’ comments, Kirstie confirmed that she did make it onto her train, while another person commented: ‘This image of you did make me laugh!’
Later that day, Kirstie turned to Instagram to offer a much lighter video of Chester’s River Dee.
‘Really sunny, no sign of Storm Ciarán here, and really pretty architecture.’
Kirstie added that she’s reuniting with Phil Spencer for filming tomorrow in Chippenham, ‘where I think Storm Ciarán may be a bit more of a concern,’ she added.
This comes after Kirstie had to stop shooting due to an accident that left her “battered and bruised.”
She was taken to the hospital after tumbling down a stairwell in the bar during filming for the Channel 4 show.
Kirstie told her Instagram followers: ‘I should be out filming Location, Location, Location, except yesterday, when we were in a pub in Stoke Newington, filming our start of day chat with our lovely house hunters Beth and Rory, I went off to the loo.
‘And unfortunately I got something wrong and I ended up falling down an entire flight of stairs.’
While propped up in bed, Kirstie was able to laugh off the incident, as she continued: ‘It was, I think without a doubt, the scariest thing and most painful thing I have ever done in my life and I feel immensely blessed to be lying here in bed and not having broken anything.
‘I’m bruised and battered, and I went for an x-ray and CT scan, and I’ve been looked over by a lovely doctor.’
Kirstie went on to express her thanks to the paramedics who’scooped’ her from the bar floor, as well as apologise to the show’s sound guy for leaving her screaming as she fell down the flight of stairs.
‘Luckily, Phil, bless him, is stepping into the breach,’ she confirmed, adding she hoped to give some input into the show later this week via FaceTime.
‘I’m either flat on my back or walking around,’ Kirstie continued, saying: ‘Sitting or going in the car is out of the question at the moment.’
She added: ‘At the time it was incredibly painful, it didn’t feel that comic but when I was lying with my dress around my waist on the pub floor by the toilets, which I had been heading to, I did think, there is a comic element to it!
‘And I think my colleagues who got a terrible fright could eventually see the funny sight.’
Kirstie’s post was inundated with well-wishes, and she ended her video clip by thanking everyone who assisted her following the tragedy.
‘I will be on the mend quite soon!’
Location, Location, Location airs on Channel 4.
