The reality TV queen took SNL by storm last year when she hosted the show in October 2021.
As well as delivering a series of sketches featuring A-list cameos from John Cena, to SNL legend Chris Rock, it was, predictably, quite the family affair.
However, someone who wasn’t present was her former brother-in-law Scott, who was in a famously turbulent relationship with Kim’s sister Kourtney.
It turns out he was meant to be involved in one skit, which would see him poke fun at his own dating habits – but his ex wasn’t keen.
In the latest episode of the family’s new Hulu show, The Kardashians, he joined Khloe, and Kris Jenner for a catch-up dinner, and asked the momager: ‘How was SNL today?’
‘It was good but it was long, aren’t you doing it?’ she replied before Scott explained why he didn’t get involved.
‘I talked to Kourtney about it and she wasn’t feeling it,’ Scott admitted, with Khloe quizzing him about the premise of the skit.
‘Basically, I say to her, “Do you know the reason I date young girls? I try to add them all up so they’re your age,”‘ he said, with Kris jumping in: ‘Oh, come on.’
‘If me and Kourtney were married, sure I’d make fun of her on TV, but not like separated, it’s not in good taste.’
Khloe told him, ‘You have to follow your gut,’ with Scott jumping in: ‘That was my gut. I called her and talked to her about it and I came to the conclusion.’
‘Initially, I just wanted to come to support Kim and watch it, that was it. So I’m good with that,’ he added.
‘I’m so happy you’re here,’ Kris shared at the dinner – also attended by Kris’ boyfriend Corey Gamble and family friends Allison Azoff Statter, Shelli Azoff, Simon Huck and Jonathan Cheban.
Kourtney and Scott were together on and off between 2005 and 2016 with the ups and downs often featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. They share three children together, Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick.
Kourtney recently tied the knot with Travis Barker in a whirlwind late-night ceremony in Las Vegas – and the couple is awaiting an official wedding after they were unable to obtain a marriage licence.
Speaking in a previous episode of the new Disney+ series The Kardashians, Kim shared another joke on ex-husband Kanye West that didn’t make the final cut as she read out parts of the script.
The gag involved Chris Redd impersonating Kanye and asking Kim, who was at the time studying for the bar, to be his lawyer in their divorce proceedings.
‘Ok fine you can divorce me, but I need a lawyer, will you be my lawyer fam?’ the line went. Kim would have responded by saying: ‘No Kanye!’, prompting him to retort: ‘Fine and you’re not getting a penny, I have the prenup right here.’
Addressing the axed joke, Kim said: ‘I am always afraid of hurting people’s feelings. ‘I would never go in there making fun of anyone, especially the father of my kids. Just because we didn’t work out doesn’t mean we don’t have a great love and respect for each other.’
‘The divorce is so sensitive for him and I’m already saying some in the monologue so I don’t want to make it bad,’ she revealed.
The Kardashians airs on Disney Plus in the UK.
