The BBC have confirmed that Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones will return with Morning Live in 2021.
The new daytime chat show, which launched in October to rival ITV juggernaut This Morning, will wrap up its first series and trial run today.
On the announcement, former Corrie star Kym said: ‘This year has been really challenging and unsettling for us all.
‘To have been able to keep our viewers company, and hopefully bring them a bit of positivity, as well as some useful tips and information, has been a real privilege for Gethin and me.
‘I can’t wait to be back on screen with our Morning Live family and I can’t think of a better team to be beside as we navigate whatever 2021 throws at us.’
‘When we started, I described the show as a big group message, and that group has grown,’ Gethin added.
‘We will continue to work hard to put our audience at the heart of the conversations. See you soon!’
Morning Live’s been drawing in 1.4million viewers on average each day, with Gethin and Kym interviewing celebrity guests from the studio.
This was expanded to include guest features from Dr Xand van Tulleken to give medical updates around Covid-19 and Rav Wilding warning about the latest scams and security breaches.
Anna Haugh later joined for a kitchen section, recipes and food tips, while Will Kirk gives his DIY expertise.
For the animal lovers, Dr James Greenwood (along with Ollie the dog) has shared weekly veterinary guidance.
Tonight’s series will end with Kym and Gethin helping out at a Manchester food pantry, and Autumnwatch’s Chris Packham taking viewers on a winter walk.
Morning Live airs 9.15am weekdays on BBC One.
