Laura Hamilton wants to get the police involved and has sent a warning to fans after being impersonated online.
The 40-year-old A Place In The Sun star has opened up about the ‘serious’ situation while she is away in Turkey with some friends, and she urged her followers to remain vigilant.
In a video on Instagram, she said: ‘You will see from my Instagram, my official Instagram I might add, that I am being informed again that there is still somebody who has got a fake Instagram account and is contacting people on my behalf and it’s not me.
‘It actually getting quite serious now so it’s going to be reported to the police. This is my genuine Instagram and I am on holiday trying to celebrate my friend’s birthday.
‘But I just wanted to reiterate in this story that there is only one Instagram account that is me and it’s this one. So if you get any messages from anyone else please ignore, delete and block.
‘As I said, it’s getting quite serious now and I am going to have to get the police involved.’
Her post comes months after she split from her husband Alex Goward after 13 years of marriage, as she announced the news back in January.
She wrote at the time: ‘This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated. Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura.’
Laura and Alex share two children, Rocco, eight, and Tahlia, six.
The pair had been married since 2012, with the ceremony taking place in Surrey.
In March, Laura received well wishes from fans after revealing Rocco had been hospitalised, although she did not elaborate on what had landed Rocco in hospital.
She said: ‘The last few days have been interesting to say the least… Being a Mum is THE most important job in the world and no matter what Rocco and Tahlia will ALWAYS come first.
‘This brave little boy has been through it over the last few weeks and I just want to thank the NHS for helping him get better. ‘
