Could Kate Fleming be H? All will be revealed in Line Of Duty tonight (Picture: Instagram/BBC)
Line Of Duty’s elusive ‘H’ could be Vicky McClure’s Kate Fleming, her mum has suggested.
The hotly anticipated season six finale is set to air tonight on BBC One, with former cast member Craig Parkinson claiming it will ‘shock and frustrate’ viewers.
It’s been revealed that the episode will finally uncover just who ‘H’ is, with everyone from Philip Osborne to Marcus Thurwell – who is apparently dead – and even Ted Hastings a suspect.
Ahead of the episode, Vicky’s mum Carol revealed she has no idea who the fourth bent copper is – and that she’s not ruling out her own daughter.
‘We don’t know anything, 100% not,’ she said. ‘We don’t know who H is, absolutely not, she’s keeping that in the bag!’
‘Who knows? My daughter’s lovely but it could be her, it could be anybody.’
She added to The Sunday Mirror: ‘We love it and watch it like everybody else and it will be just as much of a surprise for us. We wouldn’t want to be in a position to know.’
Martin Compston recently confirmed that one theory about Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin) is completely wrong.
There have been some intense theories floating around on ‘H’s’ identity, with viewers going so far as to take mysterious kitchen tiles, building shapes and graffiti as huge clues.
Chatting about the ideas on the Jonathan Ross Show, Martin – who plays AC-12’s Steve Arnott – revealed that one particular assumption couldn’t be further from the truth.
The actor was questioned about a quote from Jimmy Lakewell, which was, ‘Look beyond the race claim to find H’.
Pouring ice told water on this, the star laughed: ‘Do you know what I love about that one? It’s so spot on, but that line never got said…
‘[It] blew my mind. Jed [Mercurio, show creator] said, “No, that line never happened”.’
Line Of Duty season 6 concludes tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
