It’s not all fun and games on the set of Line Of Duty – sometimes the cast have to battle a little thing called, oh, horrific torrential rain in the name of good telly.
The stars of the hit police thriller finally resumed filming of season six last month after production was halted earlier this year due to the pandemic.
And while they’re obviously thrilled to be back solving cases for AC-12, it would help if the conditions were, you know, a bit drier.
Vicky McClure and Kelly Macdonald put up with some of Northern Ireland’s finest elements as they filmed gritty scenes in Belfast on Monday.
Vicky (DI Kate Fleming) covered up in a hooded parka over her police uniform between takes, while Kelly (DCI Joanne Davidson) took shelter beneath an umbrella.
The duo appeared to be shooting a raid as they filmed in the middle of the street surrounded by heavily-armed officers.
Vicky and Kelly were also joined by Martin Compston (DS Steve Arnott) as they filmed in various locations around Belfast.
The cast have been teasing us with their behind-the-scenes antics since they reunited for season six.
Writer Jed Mercurio shared some candid shots, one of which showed Vicky cheekily pointing a gun at Martin’s head, while another saw the stars aiming a brooding scowl at the camera.
And it looks like viewers are in for plenty of action in season six, as one image of this series’ stunts showed a white van flipping over.
Newcomers Shalom Brune-Franklin, Perry Fitzpatrick, Andi Osho and Prasanna Puwanarajah will be joining the cast in the upcoming season.
The next installment will feature a brand new case for AC-12, this time investigating DCI Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald), the senior investigating officer on an unsolved murder case.
