Line Of Duty series 6: Actor Gregory Piper hints Ryan Pilkington may kill again – are AC-12s big three in trouble?

Line Of Duty actor Gregory Piper has hinted that the evil Ryan Pilkington could kill again by the end of series 6.

The character has been a member of the OCG (Organised Crime Group) since he was a child, and has now infiltrated the detective team, pulling the strings of the bent coppers including Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald).

But after killing several people already, it seems that he could have his sights on one of the lead characters.

When grilled by Alison Hammond on This Morning, Gregory laughed awkwardly before he said: ‘I mean, you know…

‘We’ve seen what he’s done before, so I think anything’s on the table.’

Gregory first appeared on the series nine years ago, and was just 12 when he made his debut as hoodlum Ryan, who ran drugs for the OCG around the estate.

However, Ryan has now become a central role, having joined the police and pulled strings to land a position on the Murder Investigation Team (MIT) alongside Joanne.

While it’s not known why just yet, Jo has been manipulated by the OCG, with ties to the murder of reporter Gail Vella.

We know that Ryan is capable of killing, drowning a police officer this series alone.

In series five, he slit the throat of undercover cop John Corbett (Stephen Graham), who had infiltrated the gang.

However, Gregory loves playing the monster.

‘It’s an absolute dream, it’s mad,’ he said. ‘To think what the show turned into when I was a little kid would’ve been absolutely mind-blowing.

‘It’s absolutely crazy and I’m so, so lucky to have been offered this experience.’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
