Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall wanted for Stars in The Eyes reboot

Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall is wanted as the third judge on ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes reboot.

The channel is said to be prepared to fork out ‘good money’ for the singer to join Sheridan Smith and Adam Lambert on the Starstruck panel after her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and The Search left bosses impressed.

‘Jade has been earmarked as the perfect third judge for Starstruck, and ITV has her in its sights,’ a TV insider said.

‘After seeing her on Drag Race UK and then as a coach on the band’s own show, The Search, the bosses think she is made for the role and they now want to make her one of ITV’s stars.’

The source continued to The Sun: ‘Jade is funny, witty and is a seriously talented musician.

‘So it’s not hard to see why they are so keen to get her to move away from the Beeb.’

The publication reports that ITV are so keen to sign Jade they’ve even considered moving the dates around to make sure there are no clashes with her touring schedule.

Stars In Their Eyes was a family favourite that ran for 16 years, launching in 1990 until it was given the axe in 2006.

Hosted by Matthew Kelly, iconic stars were revived for the stage thanks to the make-up team and lookalike singers who then turned their appearances into a career.

The beloved show was later revived by host Harry Hill for a six-part stint in 2015.

Early reports of a new series started in March this year, with Rylan Clark-Neal appealing for Jane McDonald to take on hosting duties.
