Brenda Edwards left the entire Loose Women panel in stitches after she tripped down the studio steps while dressed as a witch.

The 51-year-old was making her way to her seat during Monday’s episode when the mishap happened.

The X Factor star was dressed up in a witch’s hat and cape because just before she fell, she filmed a Halloween-themed competition segment backstage.

However, as she emerged into the ITV studio, poor Brenda lost her footing and stumbled down the steps.

The host may have almost fallen flat on her face but she definitely played it cool as if nothing had happened.

‘I’ve had a very busy day and I’m so tired,’ Brenda joked.

‘I’m alright ladies, it’s cool,’ she added.

‘I usually use the broom rather than heels to move about.’

‘This is why we love Loose Women,’ Judie Love chipped in.

‘That’s going to be on replay for a while, I can feel it,’ Brenda continued.

Viewers were also in stitches and many took to Twitter to comment on the segment.

One joked: ‘Never mind Brenda you’ve just made 250 quid on You’ve Been Framed.’

Another commented: ‘Judy and Brenda so funny.’

While one added: ‘Glad Brenda was ok and could see the funny side xx’

‘Brenda is my favourite Loose Woman,’ another tweeted.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
