Loose Women panelist Denise Welch has issued a stark warning to Gina Coladangelo over her alleged affair with Matt Hancock, telling her to ‘watch out’.
Leaked CCTV footage was recently released showing former Health Secretary Mr Hancock embracing aide Gina Coladangelo, a university friend, outside his Whitehall office on May 6.
Mr Hancock resigned from his position following backlash over breaching social distancing guidelines, with it later being claimed that the politician had reportedly left his wife and that Ms Coladangelo had split from her husband Oliver Tress, the millionaire founder of Oliver Bonas.
On Tuesday’s edition of Loose Women, Kaye Adams, Penny Lancaster, Jane Moore and Denise discussed the alleged affair, while also speaking about illicit relationships in general.
Denise brought up an old adage about affairs, stating: ‘It’s interesting, what was that old thing they used to say? Marry your mistress, create a vacancy. So watch out Gina.’
Jane nodded in response, while Kaye hastily added: ‘Allegedly.’

Denise added that while she has ‘made it quite clear my disdain for this particular person’, she wanted to refrain from judging ‘the affair side of it’.
‘I wouldn’t judge or try not to, is the affair side of it. I don’t really care one way or the other,’ she stated.
Denise recalled how when her relationship with her now-husband Lincoln Townley began, ‘it was portrayed by the press as an affair’, amid her second marriage to Tim Healy.
Denise and Tim were divorced in 2012, while she and Lincoln wed the following year.
‘When my relationship with Lincoln started, it was portrayed by the press as an affair. It just was the case that Tim and I hadn’t decided to open up about our separation,’ she said.
‘But the press had a narrative with me that I was the bad girl and he was long-suffering Tim, and that that suited their narrative to portray it like that so it was very, very, very difficult for us to overcome those hurdles because there was a lot in our way.’
During a recent appearance on This Morning, Vanessa Feltz opened up about how she felt ‘triggered’ by Mr Hancock as she recalled her ex-husband’s affair.
‘I was in a situation exactly the same as Martha Hancock, whereby I think she thought she was happily married, I don’t think she thought there were any problems in her marriage, then she found out in a newspaper and that’s exactly what happened to me,’ she revealed to the hosts,’ Vanessa said.
She added that her ‘whole life just collapsed and shattered into a million pieces, stating: ‘It was absolutely astounding, all of these years later I can barely describe to you the shock of it.’
