The Loose Women panel engaged in an intimate conversation to as the ladies revealed the ins and outs of their knicker drawers, with Linda Robson admitting she keeps some very surprising personal belongings there.
Shocking fellow panellists Nadia Sawalha, Kaye Adams and Denise Welch, Linda revealed she keeps ashes in her knicker drawer, along with ‘everything that’s precious’ to her, and her underwear too.
Nadia introduced the topic, saying she would put everything she wants to ‘hide’ in her knicker drawer, but it was clear she wasn’t quite expecting Linda’s answer.
The Birds of a Feather actress admitted: ‘I’ve got lots of people and animals’ ashes in my knicker drawer.’
‘I’ve got little bags of ashes from George and from Ernie [her late dogs] and from other members of the family,’ she continued.
Nadia (like the rest of us) was baffled, questioning: ‘Seriously?! You keep your ashes is in your knicker drawer?’
‘They’re in little packets,’ Linda added, saying the packets are named with labels to stop her getting ‘the ashes mixed up.’
Next to the ashes, Linda keeps precious items from her children: ‘The little bracelets when they’re born, the first lock of their hair, their teeth…’
While Kaye said it was ‘lovely’, she did question ‘Why your knicker drawer?’ to which Linda replied: ‘No one goes to that drawer, it’s all my little special things.’
Denise’s answer was very different, as the 63-year-old confessed she kept her ‘lady’s toys’ in her knicker drawer, before the panel quickly moved on.
Suggesting that maybe the reason behind Linda keeping her precious items in her knicker drawer (and no other drawer) was because she thought it was ‘safe’, the 64-year-old shared: ‘I always thought the knicker drawer was safe and then I let Keith Lemon in my house to do Through the Keyhole and then I had to hide everything in the knicker drawer because I thought he’s going to be getting all my knickers out!’
Along with the ashes, Linda did confirm ‘there’s a few pair of big knickers in there, there’s definitely no thongs in there.’
