Linda Robson was left ‘shaken up’ after she almost got mugged while out shopping at Christmas.
Speaking on Monday’s Loose Women, the Birds of a Feather actress told her co-stars that someone ‘tried to get her purse out of her backpack’.
The star was at her local market with her daughter and grandchild when someone tried to mug her.
‘Something terrible happened,’ she began.
‘I’d been down our local market. My son was doing a video for his new song and we all went down to watch him. Keeping our distance of obviously.
‘After that I went to get some shopping. I was carrying two heavy bags of shopping and I had a backpack on me.’
‘All of a sudden I felt someone was tugging it,’ she added. ‘It nearly pulled me over, it was caught around my ear as well so my ear was really hurting.’
The 62-year-old went on to explain that she was only made aware of what was happening when ‘two couples started shouting’.
She continued: ‘He ran off and he’d tried to get my purse out of my backpack.
‘I was shaken up and Lauren (her daughter) and Lila (her granddaughter) was there so Lila was really upset.
‘She said, “Nanny’s almost got mugged”. They then went home and told Mark (her husband) and Louis (her son) and everyone.
‘They then went running up the market to see if they could find the person. My nerves were gone because I was like “Oh my god I hope they don’t find them”.
‘They never found him and I was ok luckily.’
Loose Women airs daily at 12.30pm on ITV.
