Ruth Langsford was forced to apologise as Joe Swash swore live on air during today’s Loose Women – amid a heated competition with Stacey Solomon.
The couple were appearing on today’s ‘loved ones’ special, alongside the host and her husband, Eamonn Holmes.
However, things got a little tense in the studio when they were tasked with assembling a flatpack stool each, to determine who was the best at DIY.
The competition became too much for Joe, 39, as he struggled with the tools, at one point yelling ‘Oh s**t’ as he attempted to beat his fiancée.
The show was then taken to a break, with presenter Ruth apologising for his slip-up when they returned to air.
Declaring Stacey the winner, she said: ‘We just have to say, going into the break tensions were very high and Joe, as he admitted, is very competitive.

‘He might have let slip a little expletive in his frustration. So we would like to apologise for that.
‘Because of that, Joe I’m taking a point away from you, which means Stacey is our winner.’
Fans watching on from home found the moment hilarious, and flocked to Twitter to discuss the scenes.
‘Joe swearing is the highlight of this show today #loosewomen,’ one penned.

‘@realjoeswash Haha yes Joe we heard that naughty word haha #loosewomen,’ another joked.
‘LMAOOOOO AT JOE SWASH SWEARING he thought the cameras were off #LooseWomen,’ a follower laughed.
As a Twitter user added: ‘Joe Swash swearing on live tv and seeing Ruth abs Eamons face.
‘@StaceySolomon was way to in tk her flat pack to notice #LooseWomen [sic].’
Joe managed to dig himself further into a hole elsewhere in the episode, when he let slip of their wedding date – leaving the X Factor star fuming.
The couple announced their engagement last December, but have kept many of the details of their big day under wraps.
Well, until Joe was let loose on live TV, that is…
‘I do know when it is, it’s the last Sunday in July,’ he said when asked if they had got around to setting a date.
The bride-to-be was stunned with his admission, fuming: ‘Joe! I can’t believe you’ve just done that!’
Get your hats at the ready, huns.
Loose Women continues on weekdays, at 12.30, on ITV.
