Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon made to feel ashamed of being pregnant at 17

Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon has confessed she felt ‘shame’ as a pregnant teenager as she opened up on today’s programme.

The television personality, who had her first son, Zachary, aged 17, shared her experiences of her pregnancy as she joined new anchor Charlene White, Frankie Bridge and Nadia Sawalha.

‘When I was pregnant with Zack, all I felt the whole way through was shame,’ Stacey shared. ‘I looked like a baby as well, I looked about six.

‘I think people looked at me like, “Ugh, why is she pregnant?”’

Stacey, who is engaged to Joe Swash, went on to have Leighton, eight, and one-year-old Rex.

She also revealed that she doesn’t enjoy being pregnant, but feels guilty for feeling this way.

‘I’ve loved giving birth and I’ve loved having babies and I’d love to do it again one day, but I don’t like being pregnant,’ Stacey told the panel.

‘I really hate saying that, it’s not because I’m ungrateful.’

She added: ‘I don’t enjoy it, I feel like something has taken over my body and I’m not in control anymore.’

Stacey got engaged on Christmas Eve after Joe proposed to her in the woods, with her two sons watching in the distance.

She shared a heartwarming video of the moment her fiancé popped the question, and revealed she has never felt happier.

In the video, Stacey immediately started crying as Joe got down on one knee, while her two sons, Zachary and Leighton, were heard cheering in the background.

The couple moved in together in 2018, and in 2019 they welcomed their son, Rex.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
