Lorraine Kelly scoffs and mocks Prince Andrew over utterly bizarre teddy tantrum accusations: ‘Just when it couldn’t get more odd’

Lorraine Kelly was suitably baffled by the claims that Prince Andrew would throw a hissy fit at Buckingham Palace staff if his teddy bears weren’t arranged in a precise order.

The TV presenter, 62, and royal editor Russell Myers were discussing accusations made in Ranvir Singh’s ITV documentary, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile that the Duke of York would ‘kick off’ when his collection of more than 60 teddies weren’t arranged in an exact order, with staff being given a laminated card with a picture of how the cuddly toys should be positioned.

In the programme that airs on ITV tomorrow night, former royalty protection officer Paul Page said the Andrew would ‘shout and scream’ if a teddy bear was out of place.

‘It had about 50 or 60 stuffed toys positioned on the bed and basically there was a card the inspector showed us in a drawer and it was a picture of these bears all in situ,’ said Page.

‘The reason for the laminated picture was if those bears weren’t put back in the right order by the maids, he would shout and scream.’

‘I know how I’d like to arrange his teddies for him and I don’t think he’d be very happy,’ Lorraine snarled.

‘Just when you think it can’t get anymore odd, it gets more odd.’

The ITV documentary comes as the prince was stripped of all his military titles after he lost his bid to have a sexual assault case against him dropped.

Viginia Guiffe alleges she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times after being trafficked by the duke’s friend, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein; accusations he has strenuously denied.

Another clip from Ranvir’s documentary showed the Good Morning Britain presenter calling a number that’s said to belong to Andrew, going to a voice mail which appears to have been recorded by the royal.

Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile airs Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV. Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am.
