Love Island star Brad McClelland dumped Rachel Finni in tonight’s episode, following his romantic date with Lucinda Strafford.

The bricklayer declared that he had an instant attraction to the newcomer from the second she walked into the villa earlier this week, alongside Mille Court.

After the pair had a flirty date, with some very recycled chat-up lines, he decided to have a word with Rachel, expressing his intentions.

‘The date was obviously nice,’ he began. ‘It’s the feeling I got when she first walked in.

‘I haven’t had that feeling in here. But it’s not just that I haven’t had that feeling in here, I haven’t had that feeling outside of here for a long time either.

‘I don’t know what it was, I don’t know if it was by chance but as soon she [walked in] it was like… There was just this strange feeling.’

Side note: Isn’t that exactly what he said when she stomped into the villa just a few days ago?

Rachel was a total stoic queen over the chat, insisting: ‘I’m happy for you, I swear to God.’

Honestly, a lot nicer than we could ever imagine being.

Heaping praise on the way she handled the rejection, Brad said in the Beach Hut: ‘The way she handled it was just second to none.

‘I wouldn’t be in this position now if it wasn’t for Rachel because she obviously saved us in the recoupling.

‘I’ve been honest with the lass from the start.’

Following their chat, he wasted precisely no time in laying it on thick with Lucinda, making her a drink the next morning and announcing that he would pick her for the next recouping session.

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
