If things don’t work out between Love Island’s Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, she can always call on Dale Mehmet who has promised to ‘slide in her DMs’.
Dale, 24, was sadly dumped from the villa tonight after being voted one of the least popular islanders, with Abigail Rawlings also getting the boot.
In recent days, he had been coupled up with Casa Amor girl Mary Bedford but it’s safe to say he’s now a single lad with her still in the villa.
After leaving the series, Dale heaped praise on Faye and admitted to having a crush on her.
However, he respects boy code enough – and his pal Teddy – to act on his feelings.
‘I can’t look at Faye and not smile. Genuinely she’s an amazing person. I came away from this experience and she’s the person that I had the strongest connection with,’ Dale said in his exit interview.
He added: ‘She was definitely someone I found attractive, I love her personality. She was a real good friend, stunning person, she’s a really good, good girl. But I’m a boys’ boy and Teddy was one of my boys. So I could never do that, as much as I found her attractive and I like her personality.’

Dale then quipped: ‘I’ll slide into her DMs to say hi. It’s not going to be, “Let’s go on a date”. She’s a good girl and Teddy’s a good boy. For me personally, on a romantic level, I couldn’t.’
As for where things stand between Dale and Mary, he said: ‘If you looked at my type on paper, it would be Mary. We had a lot in common. I feel like I’ll see her around. She’s a nice girl, gorgeous girl and I hope the best for her.’
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
