Sharon and Hugo began the series coupled up but quickly decided there was nothing romantic between them.
However, as they got to know each other and recoupled as friends, Sharon confessed she’d started to have feelings for Hugo.
Finally broaching the subject with the PE teacher, however, Sharon was left disappointed as Hugo told her he sees her ‘like a little sister’.
‘I think it was a bit peak that you friendzoned me within 30 minutes of talking to me,’ Sharon, 25, told him, adding that she feels she’s more his type than bombshell AJ Bunker.
‘I can’t see there being anything romantic between you and me. I see you like a little sister,’ Hugo told her.
Completely clearing things up, he added: ‘I don’t see you in that way and I don’t think I ever could.’

Hugo went on to chat to newcomer AJ, with the 24-year-old telling the other boys they seem to want exactly the same things in a relationship.
AJ wasted no time in getting to know the boys and made a beeline for Hugo on the sun deck.
‘You’re a very good looking guy and you’re lovely,’ she told him, to which he responded: ‘It’s nice that someone else has come in.’
‘Although you say you’re nice and don’t get me wrong, you’re nice! Sometimes the good ones are the dark horses,’ AJ said.
A coy Hugo replied: ‘You’ve got to keep some stuff back.’
‘You’re keeping that stuff for the right person,’ AJ told him.
Here’s hoping their future looks a little more romantic than Hugo and Sharon’s.
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
