Love Island 2021 bosses were forced to deal with a security breach after YouTuber Omer Majid broke in – and now he’s spoken out.
The vlogger and prankster, who has a following of 11,000 on YouTube, admitted he had planned his route into the villa for days.
‘I literally flew here just to do that from the UK,’ he said. ‘I found the area vicinity through internet searches. Then I drove around for about five hours the day before scouting the location trying to find an entry.’
Majid added to the Daily Star that the villa was ‘really secure’ but he found a way through the trees.
‘Then we [himself and his camera man] heard a noise and saw a flash light. At this moment we got scared and stood still and I could just hear radios as they looked for us,’ he recalled.
‘Luckily the security on the other side moved away as they spotted my camera man and told him to get out. I then ran for the villa and called my friend so he could put me back on the live stream.’
While Majid made it to the garden, he didn’t get into the main house or interact with any islanders, with the villa being put on ‘code red’.
A Love Island spokesperson said: ‘Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the Villa with immediate effect.
‘The safety of both our islanders and our production crew remains our primary concern.

‘As part of our stringent Covid safety measures, the Villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the islanders and crew.’
YouTuber Majid live-streamed himself as he broke into the garden of the TV set.
During the video, which has been obtained by The Sun, a voice could be heard shouting: ‘You’re trespassing!’ as the YouTuber ran under fluorescent lights.
It’s not the first time Love Island has had to focus on security in the villa. During the winter series, it was reported that armed guards patrolled to make sure the islanders were kept safe.
Love Island returns tonight at 10pm on ITV2.
