Love Island’s Jack Cornish and Liberty Poole continue to hash out their relationship issues in tonight’s episode after the explosive events of movie night.

The islanders cringed last week as they watched a clip of Jake, 24, questioning his sexual attraction for Liberty, 22, in the early stages of their romance at the beginning of the series.

It seems Liberty might be open to forgiving her boyfriend as they air out their differences in Sunday’s night episode.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Liberty says: ‘I thought, nah, you know what, I’m going to put my feelings first and I’m not going to pretend like everything’s OK with Jake when I still feel hurt. This was a hurtful comment, you need to understand how I’m feeling.’

She then pulls Jake for a chat and explains: ‘That clip last night, not going to lie, it did really hurt me. Does my boyfriend rate me, do you know what I mean?’

Jake apologises and says: ‘Yeah, look, I’m sorry I said that. I can’t go back on it,’ to which Liberty admits: ‘My heart sunk when I saw the comment.’

Expressing his embarrassment over the awkward reveal, Jake insists: ‘I did want the ground to swallow me up when I saw that and I looked over and you were looking down. I felt f*****g awful…

‘When you’re walking around I’m thinking, “F*** me, rip her clothes off”. That’s what I do. I’d be worried if I didn’t. I can’t keep my hands off you.’

Proving there’s still steam left in the Jiberty train yet, Lib moves to close the dispute and tells Jake: ‘I want to squish it here and now and articulate how I felt. And that is how I felt; I felt s***, I felt hurt, I thought that was a d***head comment.’

In addition to the epic fallout of movie night, the villa will be rocked by the arrival of two new bombshells promising to make their mark with the islanders.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
