Liberty, 21, decided to follow her own path without Jake, 24, and the pair left the villa after a final date.
Following Monday’s final, Liberty’s close villa friend Kaz, 26, said she was proud of Liberty for following her heart.
The finalist explained: ‘Liberty and I clicked from the very first day. We walked in together and our friendship blossomed from there. I feel like our friendship formed the minute we held hands and walked in.
‘When she explained to me the situation and how she felt, honestly I had nothing but the utmost respect for her because it takes a lot to admit your feelings and be really set in a decision like that, especially so close to the final.
‘She is so genuine. It broke my heart knowing she never found that special connection that I think she deserves.’

Speaking of the emotional fallout after the former couple left the villa, Kaz said: ‘I was trying to be strong when she was leaving but when we went to terrace and I was in tears.
‘Overall, I am proud of her and she stood her ground and followed her gut and trusted her intuition. She is very strong-minded and independent and it seeps through.
‘She is one of the most selfless people I have ever met and she deserves so much love.’
During an appearance on This Morning on Monday, Jake admitted he is still ‘raw’ after being dumped by Liberty.

He explained: ‘Obviously still very raw but my feelings haven’t changed for Lib.
‘We’ve been out for four or five days, it’s very raw being away from her, I’ve missed her and I never had that feeling in there. The more reality hits the more the relationship hits.’
However, he also suggested they could rekindle their romance in the UK.
‘It will be easier on the outside but I don’t know we haven’t spoken about anything. We’ve just got our phones back I only got her number last night. I’d like to think so but it takes two to tango,’ he continued.
Liberty added: ‘I’m feeling good to be fair it was contributing factors that led it to end I made the right decision in there for me at the time.’
‘There’s no animosity between me and Jake. You can never say never but for now, we made the right decision.’
Millie Court was handed the £50,000 cash prize after she and partner Liam Reardon were named the show winners on Monday night, and chose to share her winnings after he asked her to officially be his girlfriend live on air.
