Kaz’s loved ones shared a message on her Instagram Stories pleading with viewers to ‘be kind’.
‘Morning guys, Kaz’s family and friends here,’ the message began. ‘We understand that a lot of you love watching the show and that people will have differing opinions.
‘However this does not excuse the vulgar racist abuse we have been receiving on her account. Please remember to always #BeKind’.
Kaz’s family’s message follows one from Chloe Burrows’ loved ones, who said she had been receiving death threats on social media.
In a statement, her family said: ‘We hate to introduce ourselves under such vile circumstances but we’ve had enough, after just 3 episodes.

‘We all have thick skin but the amount of trolling Chloe has been receiving is absolutely disgusting. This morning we woke up to yet another DM encouraging Chloe to kill herself – there have been HUNDREDS.
‘Have the deaths of Sophie [Gradon], Mike [Thalassitis] and Caroline [Flack] taught us nothing?
‘Not only that, but people are flooding her inbox threatening to kill her themselves. People… this is a GAME show, there is a cash prize!’
Love Island previously confirmed its duty of care protocols, which include comprehensive psychological support, social media training for the islanders, and a ‘proactive aftercare package’.
Kaz has become a fan favourite throughout the series, initially struggling to find a connection after being dumped by Toby Aromolaran.
Most recently, she recoupled with Matthew McNabb after being coupled up with Tyler Cruikshank, but she still has some feelings for Tyler despite his new coupling with Clarisse Juliette.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
