Love Island 2021: Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi give us the reunion we all needed

Let’s face it, one of the best parts of Love Island 2021 was the friendships forged in the fires of a truly chaotic series – namely Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole.

They gave us cute photoshoots, they gave us helping out a friend in a crisis, and now they’ve given us the reunion we all needed.

The pair, who are planning on moving in together, got together for Liberty’s 22nd birthday, belting out Taylor Swift’s 22 for the occasion.

Liberty rocked her trademark red lippie and shades, dancing to the tune with her best pal Kaz, who also looked as stunning as always.

‘The reunion you’ve all been waiting for and it’s on my bday!’ Liberty wrote.

Kaz also shared a sweet video to her Instagram Stories of Liberty dancing, writing: ‘Happy birthday to my beautiful bestie @libertypoolex. You deserve all the happiness the world has to offer! I love you so much baby gurlllll’.

So cute!

The pair had plenty of ups and downs throughout their journeys, from Kaz’s relationship with Tyler Cruickshank and their bumpy road through Casa Amor, to Liberty’s romance and break-up with Jake Cornish.

However, they stuck by each other’s sides throughout, with Kaz recently heaping praise on her best friend.

‘Liberty and I clicked from the very first day,’ she said. ‘We walked in together and our friendship blossomed from there. I feel like our friendship formed the minute we held hands and walked in.

‘When she explained to me the situation and how she felt, honestly I had nothing but the utmost respect for her because it takes a lot to admit your feelings and be really set in a decision like that, especially so close to the final.

‘She is so genuine. It broke my heart knowing she never found that special connection that I think she deserves.’

Meanwhile, Liberty admitted she would miss Kaz the most out of the islanders, adding: ‘I’m hoping that we’ll get a place together soon, so hopefully, I won’t have to miss her for much longer.’

Love Island is available for catch-up on the ITV Hub.
