The former couple were inseparable from the very first day in the villa, quickly making their relationship official – and changing the way we hear the word ‘girlfriend’ at the same time.
However, after cracks appeared in their bond, the former waitress decided to call things off with the water engineer, with the pair leaving the villa just days before the final.
Speaking during a Q&A session on Instagram, she was questioned on whether she regretted spending all her time with her now-ex, and explained this definitely wasn’t the case.
‘Once I’m into someone, I’m all for them,’ she replied. That’s just the way I work.
‘Although we had our downs, I also learned so much about myself, so I feel like everything happened the way it was meant to, and I was meant to go through [it].’

Liberty – who was gifted a new bracelet from the girls after handing Jake’s back to him – also shed light on whether there was anyone else in the villa she would have got to know if her ex wasn’t in the equation.
Without naming any names, she continued: ‘I think because I was so tunnel vision [for] Jake at the start, I sort of shut myself off to everyone else, because me and Jake just got on so well.
‘So it’s hard to say, but I think definitely someone with a bubbly personality, and also likes deep chats.’
Elsewhere in the videos, the ITV2 favourite also took a moment to clarify claims that she had an ‘intimate chat’ with Hugo Hammond.

The PE teacher sent fans into meltdown after he was booted out of the villa, when he appeared to let some villa secrets slip on TikTok.
In a brief clip, he posted the text: ‘When Lib pulls you for chats after Jakey wanted to get to know Millie but the show didn’t air it to protect “Jiberty” and now this happens.’
‘Imagine what could have been,’ he captioned the video – which led to confusion from fans over what we weren’t being shown.
Liberty poured cold water on the claims in the candid chat with fans, laughing the video off.
‘This intimate chat,’ she added. ‘It was just literally me and Hugo sat down like, “What do you do with yourself?” Blah blah blah.
‘It was very just friends, there was no sexual chemistry between us and I love Hugo as a mate but that’s all the chat was.’
Emphasising her words, she added in the caption: ‘All love for Hugo but we are just friends [heart emoji].’
Love Island is available to stream on ITVHub now.
