Love Island 2021: Priya Gopaldas announces she’s got the ‘ick’ with boring’ Brett Staniland

Love Island’s Priya Gopaldas declared she has got the ick with Brett Staniland following a dinner date that was far from romantic on Sunday night’s episode.

The medical student, who faces being dumped in scenes due to air on Monday, told the girls that she found herself ‘zoning out’ of their conversation over a romantic meal he had prepared.

‘My date with Brett didn’t go very well,’ Priya divulged to Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole in scenes that were aired on Aftersun.

‘He’s quite boring,’ she continued. ‘I feel like sometimes when he holds my hand I feel like it’s my dad holding my hand, you know? Or like, my best mate.’

‘That’s a friend zone,’ Kaz pointed out.

‘Honestly, I just don’t want to kiss him,’ Priya cringed. ‘I’ve got the ick. I’ve actually got the ick.’

Priya and Brett could soon be sent packing though as they received the most votes when the seven couples were each tasked with picking the two they think are the least compatible.

Liberty and Jake Cornish, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, and Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson also received votes, meaning they too are at risk.

Kaz and Tyler Cruickshank, Millie Court and Liam Reardon, and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, however, didn’t receive a single vote.

The result will be announced in scenes due to air tonight and at least one couple will be dumped.

Just one week remains until the Love Island final, but who will be crowned winners of the 2021 series?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
