However, while it seemed at the start that the pair didn’t have any chemistry, the tides might be turning after they entered a friendship couple on last night’s show.
While speaking on the terrace in the morning, Sharon says: ‘Sharing a bed this time around is very different. I do think he is fit but is it that I just think he’s fit and nothing else?’
In Kaz’s opinion, the fact that Sharon and Hugo have developed a closer relationship throughout their time in the villa could have played a part in Sharon’s new feelings emerging.
‘It’s not that you just think he’s fit because you guys actually get along. You like him as a person,’ she wisely says.

Sharon explains that while she ruled out a romance with Hugo at the start of the series, comparing him to Aaron Francis, who she coupled up next, has made her reassess the situation.

‘I think I did rule it out in the beginning but I think seeing qualities that were missing in Aaron and seeing them in Hugo has made me really think things through,’ she says.
‘He’s a really good communicator and we talk about everything and anything.’
Kaz, being the good friend that she is, decides to do some digging to find out if Hugo feels the same way.
While later speaking to Hugo, Kaz questions him on his relationship with Sharon to find out if to him, there’s just a friendship between them and nothing more.
‘Do you have this with Shaz, right? You get along as friends and you don’t know if it’s just pure friendship or more, or not really? You guys were coupled up on the first day?’ Kaz asks.
Will Hugo reveal that the attraction is mutual between him and Sharon? Or will they stay in a friendship couple until either of them find possible matches elsewhere?
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
