Love Island 2021 has only been on our screens for a handful of days, but we’ve already had a savage dumping and two bombshell arrivals.
Last night’s dramatic episode began with Shannon Singh being axed from the cast, and ended with a teaser for the next instalment, introducing us to former student Chuggs Wallis, and fellow newbie bricklayer Liam Reardon.
The Oxford Brookes graduate owns his own bucket hat business and has already made an impact on viewers, and will no doubt cause a stir in the villa over the next few days.
But who is Chuggs, and is that his real name?
What is Chuggs’ real name?
The newcomer popped up at the end of yesterday’s instalment, telling viewers: ‘I’m Chuggs, I’m 23 and I run a bucket hat business in Surrey.

‘The person I care most about is me. I’d have absolutely no problem going after a girl if they were in a couple. My main objective is to find a girl, not to make friends.
‘I’ve got a load of friends at home. I’m not afraid to tread on anyone’s toes and I’m ready to go.’
However, Chuggs isn’t his real name, with his full moniker actually Oliver George Lee Wallis.
While we don’t know exactly where his nickname came from, we predict that he’ll tell all during a tense chat at the fire pit.

In his introductory VT, he revealed he runs his own bucket hat business, Booby Buckets.
The store was opened last June, and he has since worked with ‘hundreds of universities, sports clubs, schools and businesses’.
His brand offers signature prints and ‘timeless, high quality’ hats for any occasion, with a bio on the site reading: ‘Having played rugby all my life it seemed natural to start out our journey providing customisations for sports clubs/teams close to home.
‘Since then I have devoted a lot of time and effort into growing the brand and working with more people. We now have a team of Booby Ambassadors based throughout the UK that help share the love all over the country.
‘I am very excited for what the future holds and am grateful for all the support.’
Something tells us we can expect his suitcase to be full of hats…
Love Island continues every night, at 9pm, on ITV2.
