The Love Island line-up has taken shape and Toby Aromolaran is among the hopefuls looking for love in the villa.
The sports enthusiast from Essex has said that he’s never actually had a relationship – but is hoping the ITV show might change that.
‘If Love Island can’t find me a relationship then no one can,’ Toby said.
He plays football for a team called Hashtag United, but who are they?
What is Hashtag United?
Hashtag United was set up in 2016 by YouTuber Spencer Owen and his brother, to play charity games in memory of a childhood friend.
The West Ham supporting duo started out filming their matches for the video platform, but quickly became relatively well-known as non-professional footballers.
After two years of exhibition matches, the team joined the Eastern Senior League Division 1 (South).
Hashtag United are managed by coach Jay Devereux, and home games are played at Haringey Borough’s stadium in Tottenham – with season ticket priced at an affordable £25.
The team play in a yellow and blue kit, and have been sponsored by EE and Top Eleven.
Hashtag United are also a successful esports team. In 2018, three members of the club competed in the final 32 of the FIFA eWorld Cup.
Speaking about the club, Toby he admitted the squad has helped him ‘fall in love with the game again’.
He explained: ‘I’ve played football since I was about six, but it’s really come into a new light for the past year since I joined Hashtag United.
They’re very social media focused. Everything is on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.’
You can find the athlete on Instagram @tobyaromolaran, where he often shares pics of the game.
Love Island starts on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday, June 28
