Mollie Salmon of Love Island has released photos of her painfully damaged and swollen face.
The 24-year-old Instagram influencer, who rose to prominence on the reality dating show last year when Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu were proclaimed winners, updated her fans on her ‘healing journey’.
‘My surgery went well, and @monocosmeticsurgery has done a fantastic job caring after me with the support of my best friend @holliebayles,’ she added. I couldn’t have done it without her.
‘I am quite swollen and am difficult to now see out of my eyes since that’s where the surgery occurred so I just wanted to let you all know I’m not ignoring anyone, nevertheless thank you all for the wonderful words. I’ll send you all recovery update photographs as soon as possible.’
The Casa Amor star then released a slide with a trigger warning before uploading a photo of her bandaged face.
She said: ‘I promised I’d take you all along this journey with my, this is my current healing process, my bruising and swelling will go down after a few days.
‘The procedure I had was fox eyes.’

Celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner have previously been believed to have undergone the operation (both have disputed this), which has been criticised by surgeons and accused of fueling cultural appropriation.
Fox eye thread lifts are a 30-minute procedure that costs between £300 and £700 in England, with effects lasting between three months and five years.
After witnessing her friend Ryan Ruckledge speak out on This Morning about his own fox eye lift going awry, Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry has also warned about the hazards.
She told her followers: ‘I’ve been putting this off for a bit now but after seeing Ryan going on This Morning to speak about the fox eye trend I feel like I need to tell everyone about my experience and what has happened to myself.
‘I had the same procedure as Ryan done seven months ago and still to this day I’m left with terrible scars on my face which may never go away.’
Chloe advised her fans that the treatment, which involves inserting invisible threads at the sides of the eyes to elevate the brow and extend the eyelid to produce a ‘fox eye appearance,’ can have dangerous negative effects.
She continued: ‘I’m seeing this procedure becoming increasingly more and more popular. This may not happen to everyone but as I’m left with scars seven months later I just wanted to take to social media just to let everyone know what had happened to myself.’
Sharing a video of her tearfully showing a large raised scar and bump on her temple, Chloe told the camera: ‘It’s literally ruined my face, man. What’s going on?’
