Love Island stars blasted for ‘humiliating’ Rachel Finni in vile Instagram live: ‘How childish’

Former Love Island star Rachel Finni and several fans have blasted her fellow islanders after they mocked her during an Instagram Live.

The 29-year-old blasted contestants Brad McClelland, Jake Cornish, Aaron Francis and Tyler Cruickshank after they talked about bombshells during their season of the hit series, and laughed when Rachel’s name was brought up.

During the brief snippet someone uploaded on Twitter, a fan sent in a comment writing: ‘Rachel, not a bombshell,’ which Brad read out loud, resulting in them bursting into fits of laughter.

On Wednesday, Rachel issued a lengthy statement via Instagram stories and expressed that it was the ‘first day I’ve had a feeling of regret when it comes to appearing on the show.’

‘Why is this deserving of going on a tv show?’ she penned.

‘Today years later and I’m still being bullied/taunted openly for all to see.

‘Honestly if there’s a statement stronger than ‘f*** you’ understand it and receive it. I’m done.’

Former islander Kaz Kamwi defended Rachel on social media and called out ‘every single one’ of them to apologise ‘publicly and privately.’

‘I generally don’t get involved in much BUT I really wish people would honestly take a step back and think about how harmful their words and actions are and can be,’ she wrote.

‘We all know what public humiliation feels like, so why are you going out of your way to embarrass and put someone else down.’

Many fans have slammed the former stars online and urged them to ‘do better.’

‘Aaron, tyler, jake and Brad sitting on insta lives and laughing and making fun of Rachel is giving me secondary vibes. How childish,’ one person tweeted.

‘So Tyler, Brad , Aaron and Jake were on a live making fun of Rachel. I’m not even surprised,’ another remarked.

Rachel – who entered the villa as the first Black bombshell – was made to choose between Brad and Chuggs Wallis to couple up with. She ended up picking Brad but, despite him initially claiming she was his ‘type’, immediately told her he wasn’t interested and went on to find a connection with Lucinda Strafford.

Following her exit from the show, the reality star has been outspoken over the show’s lack of diversity, and viewers have also urged bosses to ensure women of colour are not doomed to fail.

‘Every single Black girl and to an extent Black guy has had some kind of negative storyline attached to their name including the mixed-race guys,’ she told Metro.co.uk.

‘I want to see Black women being praised for their beauty this time round.’

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
