The Love Island 2021 contracts have reportedly been revealed, showing that stars are ‘forbidden from appearing on other shows for 8 months’ after leaving the villa unless given permission.
The eye-opening documents state that the islanders ‘must not apply, audition for, or appear on any other programme until February 22’.
It’s not just appearances on shows either, with the contracts saying that stars ‘cannot contribute or appear on any podcast without approval’, according to The Sun.
ITV bosses are also allegedly given a veto over commercial deals the contestants arrange until a month after the final.
An industry source said: ‘Islanders will have been able to read what they are signing up for but it’s one of the strictest contracts I’ve ever seen – they have no experience of the industry so I doubt they would have understood the implications.
‘Everyone knows as soon as you leave any reality show you have to strike while the iron is hot but ITV’s demands make that really hard.’

ITV declined to comment when approached for comment by Metro.co.uk.
The news comes with the end in sight for the islanders taking part in this year’s competition, with the final due to take place on August 23.
There’s a £50,000 prize up for grabs, with one half of the winning couple initially getting their hands on the cash after choosing from one of two envelopes.
Whichever one picks the envelope with the money inside has to decide whether to split it with their other half, or keep it all for themselves – in other words they have to choose between love and money.
Who could be the winning pair? Things are up in the air after Love Island aired another recoupling ceremony round the fire pit on Tuesday.
Kaz Kamwi brought us one of the moments of the series, when she ditched Tyler Cruickshank and left him reeling with a savage wink.
It also saw Millie decide to recouple with Liam despite his antics with Lillie in Casa Amor, and witnessed Mary being left out in the cold after Abi beat her to the punch and coupled up with new boy Dale.
Chloe and Toby meanwhile also decided to give things another go despite Toby having his head turned for the nth time in Casa Amor.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
