Love Island’s Siannise Fudge has revealed she’s not ‘mentally as happy’ after appearing on the dating series last year.
The reality star found love with Luke Trotman on the show in January 2019, flying out to South Africa for the first ever ‘winter’ series.
Since returning from their rollercoaster start to 2020 (if only they knew), the pair have been working as influencers.
However, speaking frankly in a Q+A on Instagram this weekend, Siannise confessed that with the exception of finding her boyfriend, she would rather not have been on the show in hindsight.
When asking fans to ‘make an assumption about her’, Bristol-native Siannise felt compelled to respond when a follower said: ‘You miss your old life before all the fame from Love Island.’
She bluntly replied: ‘True. I was very content and happy in my life before Love Island and I feel like mentally I’m not as happy.
‘If I could turn back the clock I think I would have made a different decision – and I don’t mean to sound ungrateful.
‘Mental health and happiness comes first for me always.’
Her response was certainly gloss-free, and it prompted fears from her fans that she wasn’t feeling OK – or that things may be on the rocks with Luke, who she lives with in London.
‘He was the only great thing to come out of it for me,’ Siannise clarified.
‘Just wanted to clear that up. If I could have met him another way I would have.’
Siannise’s comments come just after she and Luke announced that they have adopted an adorable cavapoo puppy called Nala last week.
Since leaving Love Island in second place, the couple have remained together ever since, with Siannise moving in temporarily with Luke’s parents before they found their own place.
Love Island is available for catch-up on BritBox.
